The Cedars is a group which caters for those in Welcome Baptist Church who are aged over 60. The group aims to provide fun, fellowship, adventure, worship and spiritual encouragement for those who, like the Cedars of Lebanon, will bear fruit in old age (not that 60 is old age!!) and stay fresh and green.
The Cedars meet on a monthly basis and has a programme of wide interests. During the winter months the programme is based on activities at the church. During the summer a programme of visits are arranged.
Cedars is for anyone in the Heathfield and surrounding district.

“Go and make disciples of all nations”
At the Welcome our mid week small groups are called Life Groups. With the exception of a day-time one which meets in the church building, all the other groups meet in people’s homes on various evenings during the week. The primary aim of the groups is to equip you to better follow Jesus in your everyday life, this is achieved through Bible study, discussion and application. The groups also provide great opportunities for deepening friendship and prayer.
Each group has a host and a leader and, to ensure consistency across the groups, they all use the same materials which are chosen by the leaders of the church. The leaders are there to facilitate discussion thereby enabling everyone in the group to learn together.
This is for children up to 3 years old, with their parents or carers.
This group is held in the large main hall of the church on Wednesdays from 9.45-11.45am.
A varied programme is offered to the children including craft activities, singing, games and stories.
Tea, coffee, squash and biscuits are provided.
